WIN A FINE ART CANVAS OF DEEP COVE BEAR, HUCKLEBERRY, IN OUR FALL FUNDRAISER AND FIRST EVER RAFFLE!

In the summer of 2020, we introduced a young male bear from Deep Cove, Huckleberry. Sadly, this peaceful and trusting bear was killed a few weeks later for finding food from humans. His story touched the community, and it was only fitting that when local artist Louise Nicholson reached out to offer a painting, that we asked her to capture this well-known and loved bear.

Tickets to enter the raffle are $25 and can be purchased here. Raffle ends on December 5th and the winner of the painting will be announced on December 6th.

The North Shore Black Bear Society is a non-profit supporting responsible coexistence of people and bears through education. We are fundraising to help increase our outreach, which promotes the best practices for living and exploring in areas where bears live and aims to reduce the number of human-caused black bear deaths.
